Exploring a distopian mechanic future

Working with Ezra Miller as art director, Optika designed, animated and conceptualised the live visuals for parts of Objekt's performance at Primavera 2019. Later that year, the visuals were also displayed at art festivals Atonal in Berlin and Unsound in Krakow

Concept

As part of an expansive visual universe for Objekt's first live shows, the aim of the visuals was to explore a dystopian mechanic future. Showcasing the industrial aesthetics and entities from a near future, using Houdini to model, render and create generative mechanical textures and structures
